Eligibility for the Job Ready Program

To participate in the JRP, candidates must meet certain criteria established by TRA. These requirements ensure that participants have the right foundation to complete the program successfully

  • Qualify as a trade occupation listed on Australia’s Skilled Occupation List (SOL).
  • Have completed your qualification at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under a CRICOS-approved course.
  • Possess or have recently held an eligible visa, such as a Student Visa (Subclass 500) or a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485).
  • Be employed or have secured work in your nominated trade occupation that meets TRA’s employment and supervision standards.

Stages of the Job Ready Program

The JRP consists of four progressive stages that assess your development, from qualification to job readiness:
